James Bay
579 Niagara St has been a James Bay institution since 1910, making it one of Victoria's oldest grocery stores. Over the years it's gone by Parkway Food Store, Niagara Grocery, and Niagara Market — and since April 2020, we've been proud to call it For Good Measure.
The store has changed hands and names, but never its role as a community hub. We focus on local produce and quality products, employ neighbours who walk to work, and host live James Bay musicians. Our year-round sunny patio and cafe, The Hideaway, regularly features live music, pop-up food carts, events, and social games like giant Connect 4 and Jenga.
Coffee Shop & Cafe
We are proud to brew Mile Zero Coffee. Mile Zero Coffee was started right here at 579 Niagara St. and while they no longer roast their coffee at our store, we are proud to support a company that had its roots in James Bay. Order an Americano or Latte or ask one of our baristas to make your custom drink.
